Happy b-day Carter!

We celebrated Carters 1st b-day a few weeks ago, we had a small BBQ with family and friends. It was so hot but we had the pools and slip n slide so we were all set. Carter had a blast and loved his cake made with love by mommy and brother Tyler! I can't believe he is one the time just goes so darn fast!

Carter is Walking!

Well, it has started, life as we knew it has changed forever, Carter has incorporated walking into his life! Lord help us! not to mention he is into absolutely everything, what the heck is it about boys and their fascination with cupboards, cords, drawers etc..... we are always on the go, we never have time to sit still. Carter is also starting to say a few words, mama, dada, WOW! It is so much fun to watch him grow and change and also notice the similarities and differences between him and his brother, they are alike in alot of ways but also very different. Tyler has become quite the little independent man! He has to do everything himself, when I ask if he needs help he will respond "no mommy I can do it myself, I am a big boy" He has also started trying to help Carter with things, he will give him water, feed him and tell him he is doing a good job and his favorite is when Carter is doing something bad "NO Car Car don't do that" usually followed by a push or a shove, ( we are working on that!) His new favorite movies are Water horse and Wizard of Oz, he loves all the old movies, Mary Poppins, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, etc... I bought him Bolt but no interest! He has also discovered scissors and loves to cut things not sure if this is a good thing? but we give him paper and he is entertained for at least an hour this is good for mom!! My boys are growing so fast, life is very hard at times with them so close in age but I know it will get better as time goes on and they grow to be little men!

New Condo!

We have finally got the new condo in Crescent Bar mostly furnished and ready to to visit, we have been over a few times already and each time it is more and more fun! The boys are getting used to their home away from home! They love swimming and riding in peoples golf carts! There are more golf carts than cars there it is so funny! Well Tyler officially freaked us out over the weekend by blurting out his entire alphabet on our drive to Chelan, I don't know if it was the incredible boredom of being in the car for hours that got him singing our what but we were shocked! Here is a little blip of him later that weekend! Oh and if you listen closely he said at the end "next time won't you sing with Ellie, Ellie is one of Tyler's many girlfriends at school, every time he ends the song he changes the name to a different girl, we are in trouble!!!

Tyler and Carter are loving each other more everyday! Yes they do get mad at each other occasionally but for the most part they are really good buddies. I hope this continues as they get older!

Growing so fast!

Tyler is getting so big so fast all his baby habits are all in the dust and it is a little sad :-( but at least I still have Carter at least for a little while but he is growing up so fast as well! We are contemplating getting Tyler into his own bed he has not asked to be out of the crib yet but we think he would enjoy being able to get in and out on his own. He has been using the potty a ton and almost every time we are out he will ask to use the potty. I think we are on our way to no more diapers yippee! but Tyler and Carter are the same size right now so it isn't to bad! I took him to go see his 1st play Thomas the Train, he loved it! but it was two hours long we left at the half, nap time plus sitting still in a seat for to long don't go well together for a two year old!

Carter is my little ham he is so darn funny! Lately he has been a little on the cranky side, we thought maybe it's his teeth etc... until I noticed every time we ate he would give us the look of death, so I put two together and figured he wanted more food, so we gave him more jar food, nope didn't want it? Then I saw Tyler say no mommy he wants this and he shoved a handful of cheerios from his bowl into Carters mouth I panicked thinking he was going to gag and choke and then soon realized his was fine he ate them and was so happy! I am not sure how long Tyler has been feeding him without me knowing but I guess he knew before me what he needed! Brothers look out for each other I guess! So now Carter has been eating Cheerios, dried fruit, canned veggies bread, etc.... and he is a much happier baby! He has also been standing on his own holding on to furniture he is a strong one! I can tell he is about to crawl any day, and I have a strange feeling he will walk early, lord help me!!

A day in the life!

Tyler and Carter are both growing way to fast! Carter is sitting up and rolling everywhere and has also got both his two front teeth! He is talking up a storm and loves Tyler to death. Tyler is such a good big brother, there is the occasional slap on the head but other than that he has been a really good boy. Tyler has a new favorite new pass times one being he loves singing songs to himself! His favorite this week is the song leaving on a jet plane! He also has been removing his diaper and peeing where ever he feels like, not so fun, thank goodness we have very little carpet downstairs! I have been so tired lately living of 5 hours of sleep a night but I am getting pretty used to it now. I can't wait till the boys sleep patterns are around the same time! We are still waiting to hear if we have got the Condo in Crescent bar, we hope it works out!

Wow 2009, where did the time go! Well life has been busy, tiring and wonderful all at the same time! Tyler and Carter are so fun but they also take every ounce of time and energy out of me. I thought just having Tyler was hard, boy was I naive, little Carter has added a whole new level of challenge to our everyday lives! But when you see the two together it is so worth all the hard and stressful times. Tyler is so good with him he gives him a kiss every morning and every night before bed and shared his toys with him, well most of his toys everything except his beloved Giraffe Giraffe! Carter is growing like a weed he is already wearing some 12 month clothes and he has the biggest feet, he can fit into Tyler's socks! He loves his big brother so much and watches and studies him like a hawk! Tyler is becoming quite the little man he is so dramatic, we have talked about getting him into the children's theater, I think he would love it! He has so many words and sentences now it's crazy! It is nice to be able to hold a conversation with him, and for him to be able to tell me what he wants or what hurts etc... It makes for less tantrums! He is also doing really well with his potty time. He moved into the next level at school and some of the kids are using the potty quite often so he has been asking to go during the day and he actually goes every time, so I think he making the connection! Matt's espresso stand is now open and doing great, they are so relieved, it looks like they built on the right busy corner! We have also put on offer on a condo in Crescent bar so we are keeping our fingers crossed that it all works out, it would be so nice to have a close place to take the boys as they get older. We are excited to see what the new year holds for us and can't wait to see all the changes that will take place with our two little boys over this next year!

Merry Christmas

Wow, what a crazy Christmas we had! It all started a week before Christmas with the amazing amounts of snow that started to fall and fall and fall....... well you get the picture, we were scared Matt's parents would get stuck on the pass and his sister Megan's plane would not come in, we ended up with about two feet Christmas day! Then early Christmas morning our power goes out, oh, did I mention that we were having 23 people over for dinner that night! We managed to get all the gift opened and had a blast with our morning mimosas and yummy bagels with lox ( thanks Kim and Jedd)! Then with all the toys Tyler and Kyla got they were fighting over the same two toys a stroller Kyla got and a race car toy Tyler got! then they were off to bed for much needed naps! Meanwhile we all had to use our brains to figure out how on earth we were going to cook two roasts with no power? We ended up cutting them into steaks and cooking them on the BBQ, they were fantastic! The power ended up coming back on right at 3:00pm when all the guests were starting to arrive, talk about good luck! 2008 Christmas will be one to remember!

Let is Snow

Oh my gosh! The snow at our house has not let up, we have well over two feet of snow here! It is so high poor Tyler can't even play in it, it comes up to his waist! We did venture out to our friends Bill and Stephs down the street it took me about 40 minutes to walk down to the end of the cul de sac, Carter was a Popsicle and Tyler was just miserable, he kept repeating mommy cold! mommy soooooo cold! But once we got there Stephs mom had tons of yummy goodies for us!

Christmas is almost here, I can't believe how fast time goes! We took the boys to see Santa and again Tyler was terrified and Carter well he just looked stunned! What do you expect when you put a kid on a strange old mans lap! I am happy to say that we are all done with our Christmas shopping, what a nice feeling! Tyler and Carter have been having a blast with all the snow we have been having! the only snow suit I had for Tyler was his 12 month one that we got for him last year when we went to Whistler, so needless to say it was a little small! He had fun anyways and Carter was in awe of the falling snow making his dinosaur sounds that he does! Here is a little video of the boys before we went to see Santa I just had to capture their matching outfits!(purchased by Nanna Morris!) I know they will hate me later in life but I don't care, it is way to fun!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We had friends and family at our house again this year. Tyler had a blast with his cousin Kyla, they play together so well, we are so lucky but I am sure in a few years that will all change when Kyla realizes that boys have cooties!
Things to be thankful for:

1. Matt's new Buffalo 2 Espresso stand has finally opened and is doing very well (thank goodness!) It has about the same volume as the original stand which is very good for the 1st week open.

2. Carter is such a wonderful baby he is happy and bubbly most of the time and is doing so well and is as healthy as can be!

3. Tyler is learning so much and talking more and more each day, sometimes he has so much to say he can't get it all out fast enough! He has well over 100 words now pretty good for an almost 2 year old!

We had a great time trick or treating in our little neighborhood, Tyler was not a big fan of his lion costume, that is until I drew a nose and wiskers on him and then he did not want to take it off! We met up with his friend jack and then later that night Jedd, Kim and Cousin Kyla came to visit.

Tyler has started to attend the goddard school part time, he loves it, he has made friends and his teachers are great. His vocabulary has increased like crazy in the short time he has been there so it seems like he is learning lots! Mommy loves it because she can spend time with Carter and also run all the erands that are imposible to do with two little munchkins! Hanna and Yogie are adjusting to the new baby pretty well, Yogie gets very upset when the baby cries she has to sleep right at his feet all the time! Hanna could care less! Carter is growing like a weed he is one chubby tub right now! We just love him he is such a funny baby!

Helicopter boy!

Helicopter boy is what we call Tyler these days! Matt has taken up a new hobby of flying these remote control helicopters and he is just fascinated with them! he talks about them day and night! "Koptor" "Koptor" that is all we hear 24/7. Tyler is saying so many words now and he is starting to put them together it is nuts how smart these little people are! Carter is doing great he gives us huge smiles everyday I love it, there is nothing better than a huge baby smile! We are going over to our neighbors house tonight for a little BBQ he is a chef for a restaurant in Seattle called Rovers I believe it is a very expensive french restaurant so we are excited to try some of his food for free! I heard he is going to be roasting a pig? eeewwww I think I will skip that entree!

Skipping a year ahead!

Ok, I started this blog a while ago and just decided to start updating it again! so I am a little behind. We are just going to start from now and move forward. A ton has gone on since my last post, we have had a few life altering things happen like have another baby, you know nothing major ;-) Well things have been well lets just say crazy. I am finally recovering from my horrible post pregnancy back troubles thank goodness the therapy is finally helping I can lift again and am not walking like a penguin! Carter is the best baby, he has his moments of fussiness but he really is a good boy. Tyler just loves him, so far so good not to much jealousy yet. Tyler has also started to go to school part time so that mommy can have time with Carter and time to get a few things done because everyone with two kids knows how impossible it is to get any errands done, I could attempt to go to the store, but would end up forgetting half of the things I went in for because Tyler would have a screaming fit in the middle of an isle and Carter would have a major blow out of his diaper and then proceed to spit up everything he ate and then some all over himself! Oh such fun times! This is why Tyler goes to school! Matt's esspresso stand it coming along very fast it is due to open I think by November, I think it will be a very busy corner lets keep our fingers crossed!

October 2007

Tyler has started to crawl like a rock star! he is everywhere! We have to get baby proofing started right away! He is into everything, he finds every little thing on the floor and decides that a brown piece of god knows what, looks good enough to put into his mouth (Yuck!) We also took Tyler on his first trip on a plane to visit his great Grandma. He had a blast and did very well on the plane not the nightmare that we anticipated. He also had a great time splashing around in the pool with dad. Grandpa and Grandma were a huge help especially on the long plane ride!

Tyler went trick or treating in our neighborhood dressed up like a little chicken! he will hate us later in life for that costume! We went to only a few houses and he visited with Jack Fine and family for a little play time!

Tyler aslo got his first haircut he sat in a hummer truck and had a great time, he looked so handsome when he was done almost like a little toddler, they grow up so fast!

Trip to New Hampshire

We had a wonderful trip, Tyler did very well riding in the car for hours! The weather was prefect and it was so nice for Tyler to get to see his great Grandma Myrtle, she was not sure who he was but at least she got to meet him. We also had a great time visiting Jeffery's french restaurant, and meeting with his family, wow what wonderful food, he is a fantastic chef. We had a nice time at Steal Hill Inn swimming in the pool and relaxing. We also visited my cousin and her husband and my uncle and Aunt. We hope to go back very soon!

Tyler in Lake Chelan

We had a great visit to Lake Chelan. Tyler loves to swim and had a blast on Poppy Perry's boat! The sound of the engine put him right to sleep! We had great food, nice sun and Tyler had a bath in Grandma's big sink! He also loves to swim, he is like a little fish!

Tyler 8-9 Months

Tyler is sure a ball of fun! He is standing holding onto things, beginning to crawl and talking up a storm! He knows dogie but it comes out "GEE GEE" and he knows Ball but his version is "BA BA" and he knows "MA" for mom and "DA DA" for daddy. He is eating a ton 3 times a day! We are heading to New Hampshire at the end of September to visit Great Grandma McAdams so Tyler is looking forward to theplane ride. We also left him for the 1st time with Grandma and Grandpa Morris he did great, he had a great time with them!

We celebrated my birthday twice once with my parents and again in Lake Chelan! We had a great time and discovered that Tyler loves cake!

Tyler 6-7 Months

He is sitting up without falling! He started sitting up at 4 1/2 months but kept tipping over, so now we can leave him to play for a little while by himself, yippee it makes life a little easier now! He is making all kinds of crazy noises now and loves to play with balls he is really into grasping things with his fingers. He also loves to walk with help and is already standing up in everything! We are starting to see signs of crawling but no real action yet! He now has 6 teeth, I can't believe he has that many teeth already! I guess that is what happens when you start getting teeth at 4 months. He went to his 1st real birthday party and had a blast, his friend Milan turned 1 in June. She had a fantastic party with favors and music and great food and drinks for all of us adults! He got to take a ride in a basket and play all kinds of fun games! Our little boy is starting to look more like a toddler than a baby :-( it is kind of sad how fast they grow.

We have started solids! only a little rice cereal but he really seems to love it! The only place he will let me feed him right now is in the Jumparoo so that is where we do it. It sure gets messy when he starts jumping around! Tyler has been so active rolling from side to side talking, and watching our dog Hanna like a hawk! I am so frightened for when he can move I am sure he will be chasing her everywhere! We have also started another new class Kindermusik his teachers name is Ms. Alison and he really loves her. Tyler really seems to enjoy being around other kids. We have also taken a few trips to Lake Chelan to visit Grandma & Grandpa Perry, He loves the wine tasting "grandpa had to give him a little taste!" and swimming Tyler loved the kiddy pool he swam with his cousin Kyla.

Time is going by so quickly! Tyler changes every day! We have been busy since the last post. We have enrolled Tyler into Gymboree class, he really seems to love it and it gets me out of the house to see other adults! Matt and Tyler are starting to bond alot he smiles now when he him and is babbling like crazy! he holds things in his hands and often knocks himself in the face! He does not have the hand eye coordination thing down just yet! We went to our friends Ann and Colin's cabin, that was a blast. Tyler did great and loved the snow! We put him in his snow suit and he looked hilarious, he must have been comfortable in it because he fell asleep within two seconds of us putting it on!

We are still getting used to life with little TT, oh yes the poor kid has many nicknames! He is so much fun, we are finally getting adjusted with new baby, new house etc... Matt has been working on many projects around the house painting the garage, installing wood floors, yes I know you are asking yourself didn't they buy a new home? and the answer would be yes, but Matt decided that he did not want carpet in the dining room and the formal room so out it came! I must admit I was not to excited by the idea of remodeling a home that is only a few months old but now that it is all said and done, it looks fantastic! Matt and I have been taking Tyler out on little outings here and there. Let me start by saying little quick outings are a thing of the past once a baby is in your life, it takes us an hour just to get ready to go to the store! I know we will get faster with time but now it is just ridiculous, we have to do a 100 point check before we head out the door!

Our new home

Talk about crazy! We sold our home in December and moved into our new home right after Tyler was born in January! Nuts is all I can say and I would not suggest it to anyone! Thank goodness we have a wonderful family that came and helped us unpack and organize. We love our new home and know once everything is in order we will feel great about everything but right now we are exhausted and overwhelmed!

What a sweet baby boy when he is sleeping! He is probably the hardest baby on earth to get to sleep! We are working out all our little challenges and getting to know one another very well! I have become an expert diaper changer, even in the dark! sure sometimes I wake up to change him and realize that the diaper had fallen off! hey, give me a break I am tired and can't see in the dark! He is so time consuming but so worth it, Matt can't wait to chase him around and play hide and seek, I told him don't rush things they grow up way to fast let him be a baby as long as he can!

Life with Tyler is so great he is everything we ever expected and more. He looks like a complete cross of both Matt and myself. Matt is having such a great time with him but he keeps asking when he is going to do something fun! I keep telling him you have a while to wait yet!! All he does right now is cry, eat and sleep! in exactly that order! He is also not the typical baby, none of the books apply to him at all! The swaddling thing, forget it he manages to wiggle himself right out no matter how tight it is! Also the whole co-sleeper bed, not happening either, he will not sleep unless he is being held which makes things very hard after a c-section but I am managing. So this whole 1st time mom thing is very hard, lack of sleep if any sleep at all, sore body, hormones etc.... the only upside to things right now is that my chest has somehow transformed into something I never thought was possible! WOW! I only wish I could keep them forever!

I never thought this day would come but at 2:59 am little Tyler Cole Perry entered our lives weighing a whopping 7 pounds 2 ounces! Unfortunately my birth experience was not what I had expected but nevertheless he arrived healthy and safe so I am grateful for that! We had a wonderful group of nurses that were so helpful, and surprisingly we had a ton of visitor's throughout the 3 days we where there people even came despite the worst storm of the year all just to come see little Tyler! We have such great family and friends! Now we will leave the hospital where we have all the help and support to try this baby raising thing on our own! Oh my this is a exciting yet scary thought!

My pregnancy experience

Oh where to start, I had a very easy pregnancy, Matt was a great husband always telling me I looked pretty even when I had to go out and buy all new shoes and new clothes at 7 months because nothing would fit my ever expanding body! We have done tons of fun things to get ready for baby Tyler, we went on a nice vacation to Cabo San Lucas that lasted a total of 24 hours! Little did we know that hurricane John was heading right for Cabo. we have about 20 photos of our pathetic excuse for a trip. Tyler gathered more frequent flier miles than any other baby, maybe that is why he loves to fly so much now? This is a photo on the left of me about to pop! I think Tyler came about a week after this was taken can you see the look on my face, "I love this pregnancy thing and all but get out!!!"

My 1st blog!

This is the 1st time we have done this whole blog thing, I am working out the details!We wanted a place to document all of our exciting news and this seems to be the perfect place! We are starting this blog a little later than we were hoping for but better to be late than never! I am jotting down things I have kept in my little handy note book, all of Tyler's triumphs and yes tribulations that we have had the pleasure of being a part of thus far! We will start from the beginning and work our way forward!
